I am not even going to try to pretend for a second that I am a sports fan because I am not a fan of blatently lying. That being said, last night I decided to go out to “watch” the football game, when in reality all I wanted to do was see some commercials and mingle.
When I got to the bar where we were going to watch the game, we realized that it was going to cost 8 euros to get inside. I immediately was not excited about this option but since I hadn’t left the apartment all day except my jog, I decided I would suck up the cost. Luckily, the other people that I was with were not too thrilled about the prospect of having to pay money either. So we decided that we could go down to TGIFriday’s to see what the situation was there.
We get to TGIFriday’s and the place is packed. There were people crowded around the bar, eagerly watching the game. We ask if there are any tables available and the answer was of course, “No”. So we stood around and watched the game for about 30 minutes. At around 1am, we decided that we were all too sleepy to stay out any longer, especially since there weren’t even any commercial breaks because any commercial time would just have Spanish commentators speaking about the game.
